If you have a favourite restaurant, let us know by leaving a comment down below.

1. Saveur Restaurant

This is a one of a kind place to eat. Considered very much an upscale, high class place, Saveur lives up to this notoriety. If you live in Victoria and you haven’t eaten here yet, please give it a try. Anyone visiting, this would complete your trip. The menu is unique and boasts things like “Moroccan Chicken” and “Ling Cod”. Everything you eat will blow you away, and the wine pairings are perfect. Make sure to reserve well in advance to ensure a special evening.

2. Blue Fox Cafe

Who doesn’t love breakfast. This is easily, and well deserved, the best spot for breakfast in the city. Whatever your fancy, French Toast, Eggs Benny or even just a sandwich, Blue Fox does not disappoint. The portions are large, leaving you totally stuffed when you are done. Great for Sunday mornings. Just be sure to come early, as the line-ups can be very long, they are worth the wait.

3. Barbs Fish and Chips

No West Coast experience isn’t complete without good old-fashioned fish and chips. If you are looking for the freshest and best tasting fish and chips in Victoria, look no further than Barbs. If you aren’t a fan, the steamed Mussels, Clams and Crabs are also very good. Barbs is perfect for a weekend lunch, grab your order to go and walk along Fisherman’s Warf. Be ready for a long wait on the weekends.

4. Fishhook

Eat where the locals eat is the saying, and Fishhook is very much the epitome of that. Obviously known for its seafood, it’s become a favourite of the locals for a quick lunch as well. We love the open-faced sandwiches and the chowder. The Tuna Melt is also one of our favourites. The inside gets busy often, but there is seating in the common area as well. For the freshest seafood in Victoria, Fishhook is the way to go.

5. Ferris’ Oyster Bar

What list could be complete without an Oyster Bar. Ferris’ take the spot for the best oyster bar in Victoria. However you like them, baked or raw, there is an oyster for you, with an arrangement of sauces to go along with them. If oysters aren’t your thing, but your friends chose Ferris’, then the Chicken Penne is a great option. Grab a date, head to Ferris’ and enjoy some premium West Coast Oysters with a nice bottle of wine.

We hope you enjoyed this list of the best restaurants. Whichever you choose, we don’t think you can go wrong.
